A handsome perennial with rich, dark-green, trifoliate foliage and charming clusters of purple-tinged, creamy pea-like flowers. This lower-grower can get so bushy that it almost has the appearance of a small shrub. The blooms come on in late spring to early summer when many other bloomers are starting to fade. It is a great mid-season resource for pollinators and is especially attractive to bumblebees and also hummingbirds.
